Terms & Conditions
Written in plain language so you know exactly what to expect before you book.
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Applies to this website and our services
These terms govern your use of theweddingwebco.co.za and our services. Once you sign a contract with us, that signed agreement — the service agreement reproduced in full further down this page — governs your project. Where the two differ on your project, your signed contract wins.
1. Accepting these terms
By using this website, submitting an enquiry, signing a contract or paying us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the authority to act for any other person named in your enquiry, and that you accept these terms.
2. About us
- The Wedding Web Co. — bespoke wedding website design and build, South Africa
- 80 Bond Street, Ferndale, Randburg, 2194
- Email: curtis@theweddingwebco.co.za
- Phone / WhatsApp: +27 82 578 8130
3. Using our website
You may use this website to read about our work, request a quote or a sample, and complete our questionnaire. Please do not copy, mirror, scrape or use automated tools (including AI crawlers) to harvest our content or design, interfere with the site, attempt to access areas you have not been given access to, or use our materials for your own competing service. The website and its content are provided as accurately as we can manage, without warranty of any kind.
4. Enquiries, quotes and when a contract begins
Submitting an enquiry or questionnaire does not book you in — it starts a conversation. A project is confirmed once you sign our contract and pay the amount due at that point. A quotation is open for the period stated on the quotation; after that, availability and pricing may change. Because we build each website by hand for a fixed number of couples per season, we cannot hold a launch date without a signed contract and payment.
5. Pricing, deposits and payment
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and shown on our Packages page, including the packages currently on launch pricing.
- Launch pricing and limited-time discounts are available for a limited number of couples and end when the offer ends; discounts cannot be claimed retroactively once expired.
- You may pay upfront in one payment via our secure payment gateway, or in three equal monthly instalments by EFT where that option is offered.
- Payment gateway or bank charges arising from your chosen payment method are your responsibility.
- Your website goes live only once payment has been received in full, and an instalment arrangement may be suspended if an agreed instalment is not paid.
6. No refunds, cancellations and postponements
All payments are non-refundable. Because every website is custom-built and work begins as soon as your project is confirmed, deposits and payments cannot be returned once payment has been made — including if you cancel, postpone or call off the wedding. If your date moves, we will always try to accommodate a new wedding date where our schedule allows, but that is a courtesy and not a guaranteed obligation.
7. What we need from you
You give us accurate content on time: text, images, guest lists and wedding details. You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything you supply, and you hold us harmless if a third party complains about content you provided. Late content delays your go-live date, and a project that is inactive on your side for more than 30 days may be paused and rescheduled around our availability.
8. Timelines, edits and extra work
Timelines we give you are estimates, not guarantees. Each package includes the number of free edits listed for that package; extra edits are billed at our published edit bundles (R250 for 5, R500 for 10, R750 for 15). Major redesigns, new sections or functionality outside the agreed scope are quoted before any work starts.
9. Hosting, domains and email addresses
- The first year of hosting is included free with every package — no monthly fees during that first year.
- After the first year, hosting renews at our then-current annual rate, which we confirm with you before renewal. If hosting is not renewed, the website may be taken offline.
- Personal or custom email addresses (for example you@yourdomain.co.za) are not included in any package and are charged separately, including any ongoing mailbox fees.
- Custom domain registration and annual renewals, where applicable, are billed separately and remain your responsibility.
10. Ownership and portfolio
You keep ownership of the content and images you supply. On full payment you receive a licence to use the completed website for your wedding. The underlying code, design systems and tools remain ours. We may show the finished website in our portfolio or on our social pages unless you ask us not to in writing — and we never publish a live link to a couple's private site without their permission.
11. Third-party services
Your website relies on third parties such as hosting, domain registrars, payment gateways, email delivery and analytics. We choose them carefully, but we are not liable for their outages, price changes, policy changes or discontinuation, and their own terms apply to their services.
12. Service levels and support
Support runs during South African business hours, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays, and we aim to acknowledge requests within two business days. We keep sites available as carefully as we can, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or 100% uptime, and brief downtime for scheduled maintenance may occur.
13. Privacy and POPIA
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Full details — what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights — are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our total liability under any agreement with you is limited to the total amount you have actually paid us for the affected project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from guest actions, third-party services or the content you supply.
15. Force majeure
We are not in breach where a delay or failure is caused by events outside our reasonable control — including power and network outages, load-shedding, telecommunications failures, civil unrest, strikes, weather events or failures of third-party infrastructure. We will tell you as soon as we reasonably can and resume work when the event passes.
16. Confidentiality and termination
Both sides keep non-public information shared during a project confidential and use it only to deliver that project. Either party may end an agreement in writing if the other materially breaches it and does not fix the breach within 14 days of written notice. Amounts already paid remain non-refundable and work completed up to that point remains payable.
17. Governing law
These terms and any agreement with us are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page is always the current one and applies to new enquiries. A signed project agreement is not changed by an update to this page — any change to your own terms is only made with your written agreement.
19. Questions
Anything here unclear? Email curtis@theweddingwebco.co.za or WhatsApp +27 82 578 8130 and we will explain it before you sign anything.
The full service agreement
These are the clauses we present for signature when your project is confirmed, whether you sign digitally or on a printed contract. They are the terms that apply to your wedding website build.
